I’m sharing with you the plugins that we use for our clients. We use them because they are necessary. The plugins we use depend largely on the project. Ecommerce and membership sites affect which plugins we use but these tend to be in every site we’ve built.

WPBakery Page Builder (formely known as Visual Composer) is an awesome page builder with an incredible amount of options. The majority of premium themes normally come with this premium plugin. Creating custom page building blocks allows our clients to easily build new pages.

This is our favorite plugin to use for opt-ins. It enables you to create and display beautiful email opt-in forms on your website. Once the user enters their email address (and any other relevant contact information), that information is sent to your email marketing service of choice.

Contact Form 7 might not be the most advanced contact form plugin available but it is certainly useful. It allows you to easily create the necessary fields you need for your form, create the format of the email which you receive when submitted and provides an easy to implement shortcode which can be placed on any page or widget. With more advanced websites, we may need to use other form builder but CF7 is always our first love.

This is our go-to SEO plugin. It  has basically everything you need to optimize your WordPress website from optimizing titles to creating your sitemap. For beginners, it easily gives you access to the META Title and Description fields of each of the pages of your website. By doing this it gives you the capability to optimize each page. In addition this, you can add your Google Search Console (formely Google Webmaster Tools) code to verify ownership.

This is a free WordPress plugin that brings condensed reports from your Google Analytics account straight to your Administration Dashboard. You can get page or post reports in real-time without having to log in to your Google Analytics account.

Tips:
  • Keep your plugins updated whenever it has new release.
  • More plugins are definitely not better. It will slow your site performance (speed).
